TO ALL SCOOP MEMBERS:
The Following is general SCOOP information periodically provided to insure new and existing members are up on their clubs purpose and organizational workings.
SCOOP is a SCLHA sanctioned club with 170+ households. As such, the club is governed by guidelines that have been approved by SCLHA and SCOOP membership. The reasons for the guidelines and their adherence are:
1) To insure that activities are within the scoop of SCOOP Mission Statement.
2) Fiducirary by insuring that club funds are accounted for appropriately.
3) Adherence to the guidelines are required to keep SCOOP a SCLHA sanctioned club.
SCOOP Mission Statement:
The Sun City Organization 0f Pooches (SCOOP) has been established to offer dog lovers/guardians the opportunity to communicate and socialize with others who have like interests, to support organizations which care for welfare of dogs, to sponsor activites and programs that are geared to the enjoyment and education of SCOOP members along with their dogs.
Sub-Committees:
Members wishing to sponsor a program or event must have a plan, including a budget, enough named volunteers to staff the program/event prior to presenting it to the Steering Committee for approval to proceed.
Thanks so much for your membership. You make a world of difference to the dogs lucky enough to live here in Lincoln Hills and those not so fortunate. Hope to see you at our general meetings, events and socials. Remember this club represents your interests and passion, so be sure to try and participate in club events whenever you can. The more the merrier.
